International Tourists Will Be Able Enjoy Long Stays in Thailand from October
Thailand has recently revealed its plans to permit its tourists to enjoy longer tours, starting from the month of October. In accordance with the Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Yuthasak Supasorn, the issued plan will start with the island of Phuket.
While the Thailand government tries to revive its prime economy sector after the unfathomable devastation caused by the pandemic, the recently released plan has brought in immense pleasure for the travel enthusiasts, who have been struggling with their travel plans for a long time now.
As per the statements issued by Yuthasak Supasorn, tourists will need to plan a stay for a minimum period of 30 days and will have to experience quarantine for the initial 14 days. During the quarantine period, the travellers will have to remain confined to a restricted neighbourhood in proximity to their hotel in Thailand. After 14 days, they can enjoy touring other prime areas of the destination.
In accordance with the latest statements revealed by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, the tourists require taking two COVID-19 tests in the course of their quarantine, before visiting the major destinations of the Phuket island.
As per the COVID-19 reports of Thailand, the country has recorded around 3,300 Coronavirus cases and has not recorded any confirmed local positive case for around 3 months. The Coronavirus task force of the government recently extended an emergency state in the country until the end of the month of September.
While Thailand had recorded 39.8 million tourist visits in 2019, the nation is expectant to witness around 8 million tourists in the present year, considering the situation of the tourism industry currently.
