Several Indian States to Resume Transportation Services
As a part of Unlock 4, the Union home ministry has granted the states permission to resume bars, hotels, and metro services from 7th September. While Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand are ready to resume interstate bus services from 1st September, Bangalore and Kochi will be resuming metro services starting on 7th September.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K Palaniswami has revealed in an announcement that the COVID norms will experience considerable relaxations and Sundays will no longer face complete lockdown. Furthermore, he also permitted the reopening of all religious sites, resorts, and hotels. In an attempt to revive the financial condition of the state, the Tamil Nadu CM also stated that the buses operated by the state enterprise are permitted to resume services with a reduced capacity of 50%.
All set to hold its assembly elections in November-December, Bihar will most expectantly announce significant ease of norms after 6th September.
According to the latest revelations of the government officials of Maharashtra, more relaxations on the COVID norms will be offered as a part of its ‘Mission Begin Again’ programme, including the resumption of inter-state bus services. The state will also be permitting the reopening of gymnasiums and allowing private and government organizations to hike the strength of their workforce by 30 to 50 per cent.
The relaxations of COVID-19 regulations and the opening up of transportation services in various states across India is indeed very hopeful news for travellers as well as tour operators. While the tour operators are trying to stay in tandem with this new normal environment and revive their business simultaneously, the travel enthusiasts have begun planning for their post-COVID tours.
