The world-famous holiday destinations of Srilanka and Grenada have recently made it to the WTTC Safe Travels Stamp recipients list.
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has recently introduced the safe travel stamp to help business and leisure travelers in identifying destinations across the globe that are committed to implementing the standardised international health and hygiene rules and guidelines.
This hopeful news has spread an air of happiness and enthusiasm among the travel fanatics and has motivated them to plan their most-awaited trips in this “new normal” environment of COVID-19.
Since the introduction to the Safe Travels stamp by WTTC, a plethora of renowned holiday destinations across the world, such as Turkey, Portugal, Egypt, and Dubai have promptly adopted the new guidelines and protocols. Other destination cities and countries that have received the WTTC Safe Travels stamp include South Africa’s Eswatini, Tanzania, and Rwanda and Spain’s Benidorm and Alicante.
The worldwide safety measures issued as a part of the Safe Travels guidelines offer a sense of protection and consistency to the travelers as well as the travel providers regarding the recent approach to hygiene, health, social distancing, and deep cleansing. This will, in turn, allow the travel enthusiasts to continue their expeditions to different parts of the world without compromising on their health and safety.
The Safe Travels protocols have been devised by bringing onto the table the experience and knowledge of the revered WTTC members, who are dealing with the current COVID-19 scenario. Furthermore, care has been taken to make sure the protocols are in tandem with the COVID guidelines issued by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
