The Indian ambassador to the UAE, Pavan Kapoor has confirmed that Indian citizens holding any type of UAE visa will now be able to take a flight to the country from India.

As of earlier, only the residency visa holders had the legit permission of traveling to the UAE, taking flights that ran as part of Vande Bharat repatriation mission of India. The UAE airlines like Etihad and Emirates were also running repatriation flights under special provisions between both the countries, along with the Indian carriers like Air India Express and Air India.

The issue of this news has brought immense pleasure to the many long-term UAE residents, whose kids were unfortunately stranded without a UAE residency visa in India. In this regard, the varsity-going students holding visit visas already, will be considered as the initial passengers to take the return flight

The enhancements in the air connectivity between the UAE and India will be of significant importance in the upcoming days, since both the countries are in for a collaboration for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, that will take place in the UAE from 19th September to 8th November 2020.

Another important announcement in this regard comes in as Air India Express opens flight bookings to 18 Indian destinations from the UAE. As plans may have it, the air services will commence from 16th August 2020 and continue up to 31st August 2020.
